Simulation game about history
Worlds - History Simulator allows you to see how your planet would develop under different environmental conditions. You can simulate human history in an alternative setting and watch civilizations grow and adapt.
Detail-orientedThis free game has many features that relate to your world. There are deserts, rivers and rainfall patterns. You can also assign temperatures to specific climate areas. You can modify any of these elements worldwide or tweak individual attributes on the planet with a brush.
There are many map modes that allow you to see how people differ in different aspects. Modding is also supported, which allows users to customize biomes, region elements and discovers.
GameplayThe gameplay is a watch-what happens approach to the story. Once you have set the scene and added humans to the mix, you can't do much but watch the story unfold. Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis IV are great options for those who want to get involved in civilisation.
The world generation system is still easy to use and allows you to have a lot more control than later on in the game. As you make changes to the environment, you'll be able to see them update the map immediately.
Humanity emerges and adapts to the environment that you create. They will create cities, groups, and cultures.
User interfaceThe UI layout provides a bird's-eye view of the entire world and all its developments. The graphics are semi-realistic and 2D-based, and resemble a more advanced version of the Dwarf Fortress maps.
You'll see different colors and lines as you play. These lines show the growth and movement in emerging tribes. You can also access a 3D visualization of the map and a day-night cycle at anytime.
The ultimate power fantasyAlthough the gameplay is a little lacking in certain areas, the overall feeling of the game is God-like. Worlds offers a unique experience that no other civilisation game can match. You can see how continents, seas and populations change at your will.
