A word-puzzle solving app

Wordsearch solver is an easy-to-use, free app that allows you to solve word search puzzles quickly.

Simple tool

There is a software or algorithm for solving every crossword puzzle and Scrabble game. Wordsearch solver can solve problems up to 100x100 pixels in size.

It's easy to use

You can use the programme's sole function in two ways: by entering a puzzle or finding words amongst its letters. You have two options: scan it and save it to a TXT file you can upload into the program, or type it manually.

Although the first solution is faster, sometimes the software will send an incorrect message stating that there are no results. This error is not common with the second, where you can specify the dimensions of your puzzle and create it yourself.

Next, type the word you want to highlight. The program will do the rest in no time. It is sometimes buggy, but it does what it is supposed to.

Only for old PCs

Wordsearch Solver is lightweight and easy to use. It is optimized for older Windows computers and does not support alternative operating systems. It can only be used on Windows XP.

User interface stripped-down

It's meant for older computers and the UI is very similar to Windows 95 applications. The UI has simple fields and greys, and no bells or whistles.

There is no help file or prompts available once the program has been launched. However, the functions are so limited that it doesn't pose a problem.

Too limited

The tool is not as user-friendly as it could be and the functions are not sufficient to warrant a download. Word Search Solver by DCode or Word Scramble Solver could provide the same functionality. Both can be run as web apps directly from your browser.
