VLC Media Player is a media player that allows you to play audio and video content on your computers, laptops and mobile phones. You can launch different media types with the freeware: files, discs, files and streams. The versatile software can be used with Audio CDs and DVDs, streaming protocols and VCDs. VLC comes with many codecs that allow you to quickly open various file formats, such as MP3, MKV and others.

VLC Media Player can be downloaded and installed on Android, Apple iOS and Linux. You can also open the application on Apple TV.

VLC was developed and released by VideoLAN, a non-profit organization. VLC does NOT use spyware or adware to track your data. You can view content in an ad-free app that protects your personal information.

You need to make sure that any files you open with the software are not malicious if you want to protect your devices and private data. Although the powerful player is not designed to contain malware, it can open many file types that could be potentially dangerous. Sometimes, the app won't open corrupted files.

VLC Media Player is a very popular media player. It can play many file formats and has a simple user interface that is full of features. You have multiple recording options. It can be used as a screen recorder, allowing you to record your entire desktop. It can also be used as a webcam recorder, to record videos from your camera.

Both recording settings can be found under the Media' tab of the Open Capture Device setting. Adjust the settings in the 'Capture Device tab' of the window. Select 'Desktop to record your screen, and 'DirectShow to use your camera to record.

To take a screenshot of the video you are watching, right click and hover above "Video" in the context menu. Click on "Take Snapshot". VLC allows you to convert audio and video files. You can convert files by clicking on the 'Media tab' and selecting Convert / Save.

You will see a window where you can add the files you wish to convert from the browser. Click on the Add ...' link. After you have selected the files that you wish to convert, click on the Convert /Save' button at bottom of screen. The next screen will display a dropdown menu with a list of file types.

You can choose the destination and format to save the file to. Once you are ready for the conversion process to begin, you can click the 'Start’ button at the bottom. The converted content will be located in the folder you have selected.

Alternative applications that can play multi-media files include Potplayer, Potplayer and KMPlayer. MX Player, Media Player Classic Home Cinema Player, Windows Media Player Player, 5KPlayer, MX Player and MX Player. The most attractive user interface for Potplayer is its simple-to-use layout. Similar user interfaces can be found in Windows Media Player and MPC-HC.

5KPlayer is focused on streaming audio and video content. KMPlayer, MX Player and Potplayer allow you to stream videos on their platforms. All apps are free to download.
