v 4.0.2312.41|Vivaldi Technologies
Vivaldi, a new web browser with many features, combines an Opera-like interface and a Chromium open source platform.
Vivaldi is similar in many ways to Opera's browser. Some of the coolest features are the faded colours that match the page's dominant colour as you navigate between sites.
The browser's snazzy effects aside, it was clearly designed with power users, as the Quick Commands tool demonstrates. This allows the user to search for or run commands much in the same way as OS X's Spotlight.
Vivaldi allows you to browse with mouse gestures. The familiar'speed dial' interface that shows you your favourite tabs on the new page is another great feature, even though it is old.
These are the key features:
Vivaldi's layout is also great. The bookmarks menu can be found in the left toolbar. It contains the Bookmarks, Downloads and Notes menus. Although there is a lot of information here, the interface doesn't feel cluttered. You will feel fresh and clean by the way that items are placed in logical locations.
Vivaldi's interface is clean and sharp. It uses simple, but effective icons and fonts. The different tools and features clearly indicate that it is aimed at power users. It is small for a browser and does not eat up too much system resources. It is a great alternative to Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome or Firefox.
