UNetbootin makes it possible to create bootable Live USB drives without the need to burn a CD. It is cross-platform and available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. You have two options: UNetbootin can download one of the many supported distributions for you, or you can supply your own Linux.ISO file.

Support for automatically downloading and loading these distributions is built-in

    Ubuntu.Linux Mint.openSUSE.Arch Linux.Debian.

UNetbootin loads distributions by either downloading a ISO file (CD image) file for you or using an ISO file that you have already downloaded. Once it is done, reboot.

UNetbootin can create a bootable USB drive with Live USB, and it can also be used to load other system utilities, such as:

Parted Magic.SystemRescueCD.Super Grub Disk.Dr.Web Antivirus.F-Secure Rescue CD.Kaspersky Rescue Disk.Backtrack.Ophcrack.NTPasswd.Gujin.Smart Boot Manager.FreeDOS.Looking for the Mac version of UNetbootin? Get UNetbootin for Mac here
