UNetbootin makes it possible to create bootable Live USB drives without the need to burn a CD. It is cross-platform and available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. You have two options: UNetbootin can download one of the many supported distributions for you, or you can supply your own Linux.ISO file.
Support for automatically downloading and loading these distributions is built-in
UNetbootin loads distributions by either downloading a ISO file (CD image) file for you or using an ISO file that you have already downloaded. Once it is done, reboot.
