Super Mario Bros. 3 - Mario Forever is a fan translation from the original Super Mario Bros. game that is part of the Super Mario All-Stars collection. Softendo created this fangame to allow players to enjoy the original Super Mario Brothers game, with new graphics and features. However, it does not alter the original story. Bowser and Koopa Troopas have invaded the Mushroom Kingdom, turning many of its citizens into inanimate items. To leverage against Mario, the gang also kidnapped Princess Peach. Mario must travel across the 8 worlds in order to rescue Princess Peach and save the kingdom from evil.

Mario Forever's objective is the same as Super Mario Bros. You must race through the Mushroom Kingdom to escape Bowser's henchmen and rescue Princess Peach. You will need to collect coins, break bricks and gain special abilities along the way. Super Mushrooms are the key to these special abilities. These abilities are vital in Mario's ability to live longer and improve his skills. Mario will double in size once ingested and you'll be able to move around the platform easily.

Mario must defeat the Goombas, Koopa Troopas and other Goombas that surround him. Mario can only jump. This means that you can't jump over your enemies, or hit the brick they are sitting on so they fall. Jumping on a Koopa Troopa is a great way to take out multiple enemies at once. It will retract into its shell, and can be pushed to strike other enemies. Another strategy is to use the Fire Flower ability. This skill is rare and comes out of the floating boxes.

Once you have it, you can fireball at your enemies. To get through the eight worlds of Mario's game, you must use every single one of Mario's abilities. King Bowser, Princess Peach and Princess Peach are found in the 8th and final world. This is important because he has placed false Bowsers into each world. Both can be defeated, real or fake, by jumping over them and reaching towards the axe at each end of the bridge.

Mario Forever's appearance is not too different from the original game, but new features have been added in order to enhance the gaming experience. First, Mario's new skills.
