StopUpdates10 is an update blocker that blocks updates for Windows 32-bit and 64 bit operating systems. This blocker was developed by Greatis Software and can be used for businesses. It works in the same way as Aegis and stops annoying Windows 10 installations from interrupting work production.

Windows prevents users from disabling updates. This means that most hacks to disable them won't work. This program will pause or stop Windows installation while you are working, as it is a security risk. The updates will resume later at a more convenient time.

This freeware allows you to pause or stop Windows updates. Your computer will not be able to download or install any updates if you stop them. It will block all updates from Windows Update. The service will still download updates even though it is paused. However, it won't install them. Microsoft allows you to pause updates once and only for a short time. StopWindows10 allows you to disable the ability to wait for updates to be installed as often as you want.

A hard block provides double protection via registry permission and Update Guard. You can choose the soft block option to pause updates until the year 2099, and then resume them with one click.

You can even set different schedules to receive quality and feature updates. Feature updates are new versions or enhancements to existing features. Quality updates are cumulative to the most recent version without adding any new features. Administrators can automate this process using StopUpdates10 in scripts or batch files.

The Update Guard service runs in the background and consumes very little system resources. It is safe to use as it does not delete system files or modify permissions or registry keys. It runs automatically at startup, so you don’t have to keep it open all the time. It detects when Windows Update Service (Wuauserv), starts and disables it. You can also modify it using the stopupdates10.ini.
