Snes9x for Windows

Snes9x is a portable and freeware emulator for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). This application allows you to play all games for the SNES or Super Famicom Nintendo gaming systems on your computer. SNES, a 16-bit video gaming console that sold 50 million units worldwide, was an incredible experience to play games on.

Snes9x is a great option for SNES fans, as they can relive their gaming glory days. Snes9x was coded in C++ with three assembler CPU emulation Cores on the i386 Linux port and Windows port.

Snes9x offers many configurable options. You can adjust the sound, play in fullscreen and modify the game input devices like the SNES Mouse or SNES Joypad. You can also search for new cheats online and have Action Replay support for cheats. The emulator feels good and emulates graphics in a clean way.

To play SNES games that were on ROM cartridges, you will need ROMs (or ROM images) Please note that the Snes9x application doesn't provide games files.
