How to fix a slow computer - Use Windows Driver updater
Microsoft's Snaildriver utility, a Windows-based driver replacement program, was created to allow Vista computers use wireless scanners, microphones, and printers. This software was developed as part of Microsoft's Office Suite on Microsoft Windows based computers. The program is free, but it has limitations in terms of what it can do and how to use it. Although the Snaildriver software was designed for Windows Vista, it may also work on older versions of Windows. However, only if the hardware is compatible.
Although the process is simple, there are some things you should remember before you run the Snaildriver software. First, make sure you have the latest Windows drivers installed on your computer. The properties or devices windows driver updater can help you identify outdated drivers or malfunctioning properly. Next, open the program you want to use. Click "Run" and then "OK". Next, open the program you wish to use and select "Run" from the bottom left corner. Click "OK" to accept the license terms.
After the program has been opened, there will be two tabs. One for updating drivers, the other for finding and updating obsolete drivers. To upgrade older drivers, click on "Updates" to select the most recent (vista-based version) of each driver. Go to "Downloads" to locate and update obsolete drivers. Once you have downloaded and located the latest versions of the drivers included in the Snnel driver upgrader, click the "Install" button to continue running the program as usual.
