SMPlayer is a front end for the open-source MPlayer. It includes basic features such as playing videos, DVDs and VCDs, but also more advanced features, like MPlayer filters support and more.

One of the best features of SMPlayer is its ability to remember the settings of any files you open. If you are watching a movie and have to quit, don't worry. The movie will start at the same point as before, with the same settings (audio track, subtitles, volume, etc.).
