v 6.4.13.400|Fenrir Inc
Sleipnir, a unique web browser, is a refreshing take on the standard. It allows you to surf the web using multiple tabs simultaneously.
Sleipnir has removed a URL bar that is usually located in the browser's main interface. The search box is located on the right-hand corner of the tiny controls. The design concept is simple. You can navigate to bookmark websites or search for sites.
These are the key features:
Sleipnir provides a horizontal scrolling selection of thumbnail tabs to help you navigate the web. You can roll over each tab with the cursor to reveal its name and give you the option of closing it. To group tabs together, you can drag them on to each other.
When you search for web information, you will see results from the search engine you choose (configurable under Preferences). You can search for the same term on Amazon or eBay, Wikipedia, and any other site by hitting tab.
Sleipnir has a few nice features, such as gesture support for tabs. To close a tab, simply swipe in an L-shaped direction. To reopen a tab, use a square-esq-shaped U. Or, you can reload a page using a circle. These features are more complex, but they worked well in our testing.
Overall, Sleipnir offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional web browsers we are used to. The search engine is very fast and the interface is easy to use. It just takes some time to get used too. Performance is where the browser has some issues. It was slow and did not respond to some pages as expected during testing. Sleipnir may not be able to perform tasks that require a lot of processing power.
