Simplewall allows you to create custom filters for your WFP. This allows you to override both the pre-installed WFP filters and the WFP rules. Simplewall, like Wireshark network security app, gives you much more control over programs on your network, and on your Windows device.

Simplewall is compatible with all versions of Windows. Simplewall is available in executable formats of 32-bit or 64-bit.

Simplewall's unique feature is its ability to be used in a portable mode, or you can download the application directly to your device. A side note: Certain actions require privileges to be granted on your Windows operating systems.

Simplewall is a completely different firewall than your regular firewall. It is not useful when you first open it. Once you get it working, it becomes a powerful tool. There are three options available: block mode, blacklist, and whitelist.

Whitelist mode is when no programs are allowed to connect to the Internet unless they are manually whitelisted. This is also Simpewall's default mode.

Blacklist mode is the opposite. It allows all programs to connect to the internet when activated, unless they have been manually banned or blacklisted.

Block mode is the last mode. It is self-explanatory. It blocks all traffic, no matter what.

Simplewall provides easy firewall protection for Windows. It is very effective, but the app usability could be improved. It is still a great tool for blocking unwanted internet connections, and it is lightweight and free.
