All good things... There aren't two things that can fix all the major Silhouette Studio Version 3 problems and errors. Silhouette America launched the CAMEO 3 in July, but it had to update the Silhouette studio program to accommodate the new features of the Silhouette CAMEO 3. Both the Silhouette Studio and Silhouette CAMEO 3 programs worked fine. However, the issue returned when we launched the Silhouette Studio.

The Silhouette Studio designer edition software has a major change: you can now use it on a Mac or a PC. The program was previously only compatible with PCs. However, there have not been any major changes to the design tools. The only tool that has been updated recently is the silhouette tool, which now offers two modes: import/die-cut or export. Adobe Illustrator users felt that the functionality of die-cutting was lacking and that it didn't feel right to be capable of turning a photo of someone into a silhouette. Although the silhouette tool is still very useful for creating borders, it's not as powerful as it once used to be.

The software also included a new type silhouette called the silhouette machine. The Silhouette Machine allows you to create sophisticated silhouettes by simply placing die cuts in a grid and then snapping the image. To get a clean geometric look, you can place your objects in the grid and align them.
