This add-on, along with the Chameleon extension produces ads and tends redirect you to sponsored sites. The program can be used for free, which means there are ads. However, there is also a paid version. This version still has pop-ups but allows you to download videos at a higher quality.

Another major drawback of this program is its inability to work on all websites. It covers streaming services like YouTube and Vimeo, as well as social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. It won't help if you try to be obscure.

If you think you will find this extension useful, but don't wish to suffer the annoying consequences of it, you can disable it from websites where you don't intend on downloading anything. This will allow the pages to load faster and without ads.

Although SaveFrom.net Helper's idea is great, its execution is poor. This software program doesn't deliver as much as you would expect. It has ads, requires a Chrome extension and only limited website access. It may be useful for some, but there are better alternatives.
