Free registry snapshot utility
RegistryChangesView is an easy-to-use registry tool that will take a snapshot and save your registry. It works in the same way as RollBack Rx Home Edition and ODIN.
The app allows you to revert to a previous state if there are any alterations that do not work correctly. Shadow copies of the registry are also created at different times, in case you didn’t take a screenshot. You can then restore Windows to a time before the changes were made.
Registry snapshotsThere will always be occasions when Windows needs to make large changes to the system or registry files. This is especially true when there are updates. It can sometimes cause your computer to crash or freeze because of a bad installation. RegistryChangesView allows you to take snapshots of your registry before making these changes.
Reverting back to a previous stateYou can easily revert to a previous state that worked perfectly by having the reg file at your disposal. You can also set up an automated function to create shadow copies at regular intervals. If you have any registry issues, you can take a look at the snapshot history to see which version you wish to revive.
Command linesTo view specific strings or values within the RegistryChangesView file, press Control +Q to access the filter. There are a few commands that you can use. These focus on how it saves the information, and which hives to include. You can also modify the DataSourceType's path.
Compare hivesIf you aren't sure what the registry contains, you might be reluctant to restore it to an earlier state. You can also compare hives to quickly see the main differences. This will allow you to find the registry state that is most suitable for you.
Register nowRegistryChangesView might seem like a simple tool to restore your registry. However, it has enough functions to accomplish the task. It has an easy-to-use interface and can be translated to any language.
