PuTTY Portable, a great free portable Telnet/SSL client, is based on the well-known PuTTY utility. This tool allows you to connect remotely to an existing Windows box or Unix box using a portable device. Because of its simplified menu structure, PuTTY makes it easy to use with Windows networking tools. This tool was designed with simplicity in view and doesn't include large menus or complicated icons like other tools.

PuTTY is essentially the same as the older common utility "ldrs", however it is more portable. Modern PuTTY is far more advanced than the older version and has many more features. PuTTY supports Windows 2021, which is the most secure and up-to-date version of Windows. This is one of its best features. Many people consider Windows 2021 to be more advanced than previous versions. Therefore, they prefer this program to securely connect to their computers.

PuTTY can also be used as an "interactive shell". This tool allows you to connect to your computer via Telnet even if you're not connected to the internet. You can find all the information you need by typing "help" at the beginning of the PuTTY shell. PuTTY is a very functional terminal emulator. PuTTY supports many plugins, including Java, Perl and Python.
