Microsoft Groove Platform with PPI
PPI (Payment Protection Insurance), plans are very popular in the UK. People in the United States also purchase similar insurance policies to protect their bank accounts and credit cards from major credit card companies. PPI is a monthly payment you make to your credit card company at the beginning and end of each year. The credit card company will then pay all debts of the consumer who has purchased a credit line using that credit card, plus any outstanding items. PPI plans are designed to protect consumers against late payments. They are not usually available with debit cards and online shopping sites. How does PPI work?
PPI is made possible by the use of a short term or long-term code. Once the consumer applies for the item or service, the short-term code activates. Once the code is activated it will take funds from the credit card company's account until the amount has been paid. Many PPI plans offer a discount rate for short-term services like hotel stays, airline tickets, purchases at department stores, and similar retail outlets.
Microsoft is believed to be working on a new feature that will simplify the lives of PPI holders. It will remove the need to click "remember my" each time they log on to their account. Microsoft could introduce a new feature that automatically links back to a social networking site. Or they could allow their existing customers to use their real names instead of their email addresses. This new feature would make it much easier for consumers to track their monthly credit card payments. This simplified process would be a huge benefit to consumers, according to some research. A lot of consumers find PPI confusing. It would be much easier to use their current PPI policy if this new feature was introduced.
