Free resize images available for email and web

Bluefive Software is responsible for the free PIXresizer application. This utility is compatible to Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows 7, 8 or 10. It supports all picture formats.

This program reduces the file size of your photos to upload them to your website, or to send them via email. It preserves the EXIF data and saves compressed files in another folder. This makes it great for web admins and photographers. Image Resizer for Windows is the best alternative to Windows Explorer for resizing photos.

PIXresizer features

PIXresizer recognizes the size of images and calculates the compression needed. The application can convert images to other formats, rotate images, or convert them to greyscale. It can also resize photos bulk. It saves the compressed image as an image copy so that the original photo remains intact. The utility supports JPEG and BMP formats.

You can either use the four-step process or the 'apply recommended. A simple slider can be used to create thumbnails. You can also use the utility to adjust your DPI settings, JPEG or TIFF compression, and EXIF support. You can either use intelligent ratio calculation or you can overrule it to set your own settings.

How to use

PIXresizer allows you to choose whether you want to work in a single or a batch mode. After loading a photo, you can choose from the available sizes or create a custom size. You can choose to preserve the aspect ratio or change the output format. You can also choose to save your photo in grayscale and keep the EXIF information. You can also rotate, print and adjust the settings. To make changes, check the preview and information to the right. Click'save image' to save the picture.

You can resize photos in bulk by choosing a destination and source folder. Next, use the slider to select the new size and then choose the output format. Before saving the image, you should decide whether you want to enlarge the image, save it as grayscale or keep the EXIF data. Or use the recommended settings. Next, click "save image" and let the app do its thing.

Simple, free utility

The free PIXresizer Windows app is a simple way of resizing images. It is easy to resize individual images or entire batches of images with the intuitive interface. The application will always create a copy of the original photo so you don't have to worry about losing it.
