One Night at Flumpty's
The Red Man is a minor role in David Fincher's acclaimed comedy One Night At Flumpty’s. The Red Man appears first as a homeless man who sleeps on the sidewalk in front the theater. He is known for his penchant for throwing objects at people and attacks Jonochrome the very first night he meets him. Jonochrome is scared after being mugged and hides in an alleyway.
Jonochrome becomes a marksman after he kills several muggers. But before he can kill any other person, he is shot in the leg from a homeless man who discovers him hiding in the bushes. Jonochrome must go back to the Red Man's hideout to save his life and perform one night per week in the theater along with five other freaks. The group will be subjected five nights a week to a series murders, robberies and hallucinations. The story revolves around Jonochrome's five characters: Charmaine, Amy and Dottie. Each night brings a new victim. Jonochrome must use his powers to deceive and sharp mind to escape the clutches the Red Man.
One Night at Flumpty's is set in a colorful world with Flumptons. These creatures are often portrayed as evil and ominous, but they actually serve an important purpose in Gluckstadt. They are used to flush out the city's sewers, clean up old sewage pipes, and clear the streets of rubbish. One Night at Flumpty's was later turned into a feature-length film with Michael Caine.
