Freely change your interface

OldNewExplorer allows users to change their Windows 10 or 8 interface back to the old Windows 7 interface. This is especially useful if you don't like the new layout or prefer the old one. It will also make your system run faster in certain areas.

Tihiy, the developer, created this nostalgic utility. You can also customize it to restore the entire interface or replace specific elements. It has some visual styles that are similar to Tweak UI and improves the design.

Change the file explorer

This program allows you to make many useful changes. You can hide the caption text in File Explorer, or activate the details pane at the bottom of your interface.

Installation

After downloading the program you will need to extract the files from the ZIP file. The 'OldNewExplorer" folder can be copied to the location of your system files (such as the C or D drives). To install the application, you can then open it.

After opening the file, you can make any changes you wish to make. These include the option to enable glass on your navigation bar, use an alternative style of navigation buttons, appearance style, and many other options.

Once you are satisfied with your settings, click on the Install button. You can also uninstall it by opening the program again and clicking the uninstall button. If your changes don't work, restart your computer.

Additional information

It is very small at less than 1 MB. This freeware requires Windows 8, 8,1, 10 or 10 computers running either the 32- or 64-bit version.

Sometimes, being old is better

OldNewExplorer is the perfect tool to help you go back to the old Windows interface. This third-party app will allow you to customize your Windows experience. It can be difficult to learn a new interface, especially for those who aren’t tech gurus. OldNewExplorer is a great tool for those who want to return to a familiar interface.
