How to get Offline Maps for Windows for Free

You can download offline maps for Windows if you have the Windows version that supports this feature. Some users may be able to download maps offline using other options. These options will allow you to save money on roaming fees while still allowing you to access reliable maps whenever you need them. You can start with Offline Maps in Windows. This program will prompt to download the maps you wish to keep on your computer. This app is already built into Windows so you don't need to download anything to get started.

Head to Control Panel > Mapi > System Tools. Although the default setting automatically updates maps on your computer, it's a good idea not to forget to check for the most recent updates before downloading them. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Download map button. You will now see two options. These are located next to Offline Maps in Windows. To download the maps that you desire, click on the advanced link.

You can also visit Google to download these offline maps. Go to the homepage and search for the area you are interested in. Click the Download button to save the map to your computer once you have found the map you like. If you don't find an offline map on a website, you might try searching for other alternatives.
