Demo of mystery adventure game for free

Acornbringer, the developer of Of Love and Eternity for Windows, gives us a first taste of the game. It is set in a medieval world. You play the role of an undead knight searching for the soul his beloved, who was murdered brutally just before he was.

There are some similarities to Dark Souls, but this demo hasn't allowed us to make a complete comparison. The game is not for the faint-hearted, just like The Medium.

Follow the link to download the game from Filehippo. Follow the instructions on screen to unzip the program files after the download is complete. Double-click on the application to launch the game.

The opening cutscene gives background to the story but it is only a beginning. The developer has not revealed much information about the full game, as this is an alpha demo. It's already very atmospheric thanks to the appropriate soundtrack and graphical style.

You have the option to use a gamepad or your keyboard and mouse.

The keyboard allows you to move around. You can rotate the camera using the mouse. This allows you to see incoming enemies and signs of items you should collect. You can select options from the game menu by using the left mouse button.

To uninstall the game you need to locate the program files and delete them. To get rid of all flies, empty your recycle bin.

Acornbringer stated that they plan to release the game in ten segments and they have already begun work on the next episodes. This demo is intended to provide information that will help with the development of the game.

There doesn't seem to be any action yet. The action does not appear to have been the developer’s intention at this stage. They've stated that the action is meant to be a sample of the game’s systems and not the gameplay.

From what we know, Of Love and Eternity seems very promising. The movement is smooth and the environment around the main character is well executed for an early demo. We are starting to feel that Of Love and Eternity is going to be a great horror game with many mysteries.
