ODIN is a small utility that creates back-ups of your entire hard drive volume. You can create or restore images with the application. ODIN supports snapshots. It can be run either from a command-line interface or via a GUI. It runs on both 32-Bit as well 64-Bit operating system.

ODIN stands to Open Disk Imager In a Nutshell. It allows you to take exact images of any hard disk on your system, including external drives and USB memory drives.

These are the key features:

Backup/restore volume or entire hard disk. You can burn to CD/DVD. 64-Bit version available.

ODIN can run in either a GUI or a command-line application. The command line application provides all options and functions. Console mode is better if you need to run scripts as automated tasks. The command line application is launched as ODINC.exe. The GUI application is launched as ODIN.exe with no command line parameter.

ODIN is easy to use. Select the drive to which you wish to create an image and then open the 'Settings menu to modify the image options. You can choose to compress the image file, split it into multiple parts or not, then limit its size to a specific number of megabytes so it fits onto your DVD.

Overall, ODIN does a good job, but image disks can take a while to generate.
