v 1.0|Al Heck
Free first-person horror video
Never Apart is an indie horror video game by Al Heck that has a disturbing and gruesome premise. It is played from the first-person viewpoint and leaves you stranded at the home of Darren Bar (a serial killer). Bar's spirit is determined to end your life. The apartment loops in a deranged manner.
Plot-driven gameInspiration from Silent Hill and even more by the P.T. This game will test your sanity and inspire you to play Silent Hill. You play the role of the serial killer's only surviving victim and are placed in his home. You'll quickly notice that the residence is acting strangely. There are repeating rooms throughout the house, which can quickly make it difficult to see the big picture, especially if you view it from the first person POV.
Paranormal activity is also taking place inside. Darren wants you to go through a ceremony. On the other hand, you want to get out. These are the only possible endings to this story.
Immersive gameplayEven though you can't do much, this game still manages to grab you with its atmosphere. Although the gameplay is a walking simulator, the jump scares you'll see and other gruesome events add tension to the game.
You're looking for a way out of the apartment to escape the ghost that haunts you. You'll find clues that will help you accomplish your mission. Sometimes, you'll hear the radio, giving you more leads. Make sure you have your headphones on when you play.
Realistic visualsThe game's most frightening quality is due to its hyper-realistic renderings of the apartment and all of the paranormal activity that takes place within it.
The sound design adds to the buildup and sends chills down your spine, even when there isn't much happening on your screen. There is no time limit on exiting rooms. It manages to keep your seat at the edge.
A maddening experienceNever Apart is a great example of an eerie video game that you will feel for days after playing it. The well-written storyline, the eerie silences and jumpscares, and the immersive atmosphere will have you immersed in the strange world within seconds. It's a must-see for survival horror fans.
