Nero Standard 2019 represents a slimmed-down version of Nero Platinum 2019. It includes many of the best features from the Platinum edition, as well as all the mobile apps. You can stream directly to Android and iOS smartphones. You can also send video from your Android or iOS mobile device to be burned immediately using the new "AirBurn” feature.

Nero Standard 2019 supports geotagging, also known as "Places", like many other products from the Nero range. This means that media shot on a smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device can now be organized by its location metadata.

The software has been updated with a new look. The launcher has been reorganized into five sections: "Manage & Play", Edit & Convert", Rip & Burn", Backup & Rescue, and "Extras".

This version also features a new help section, which includes detailed guides that will guide you through the process of managing content or completing projects.

Nero Standard 2019 may be a smaller version of its older brother, but it still supports cloud storage in different ways. Nero BackItUp allows you to access and playback content from anywhere. MediaHome, Nero’s content manager, organizes media by date and segments it according to media type.

Nero Standard 2019 also contains some very cool modules. Nero Recode, for instance, can rip disc contents or regular audio or video files and convert them to a specific format to be played on a particular device or burn them to disc. Nero Burning Rom is the core of the package. It can burn CDs, DVDs, or Blu-rays. You can also optionally encrypt or split your content across multiple discs with it. You can also preview your content on the second monitor if you have the suite running on a dual-monitor system.

Nero Standard 2019 has one drawback. You can't play back Ultra HD (4K) videos. The only difference between the Platinum suite and Nero Standard 2019 is the price.
