Racing simulation game
Electronic Arts' Need For Speed Carbon game features intense car racing and a thrilling story. It was the successor to NFS Most Wanted and added many new features while improving some aspects of the gameplay to provide a more realistic experience.
GameplayThe RAM required to play the game is 512 MB. It works on all Windows 7 PCs. It is very easy to use, especially with the later patches.
EA offers a free trial that allows you to get a taste of the product before you buy it. The campaign is an integral part of the experience. There are many cutscenes and a compelling story to follow as your journey to the top of this racing food chain.
New featuresYou will need to win races in order to unlock new cars or parts. You can customize your vehicle, especially if there are mini-challenges. The game introduces the crew system with drafters and scouts as well as blockers.
These new Carbon integrations don't work as they throw the balance out of order. This game also introduced drift and allowed the use of muscle cars. Online matches were also improved for all systems.
AlternativesNeed for Speed MW is one the most iconic games in the series. EA released a newer version of the game in 2012, which had significantly improved graphics. It is now comparable to Carbon. Most Wanted is notable for its police car chases and Carbon has a better campaign.
Forza racing is the most serious NFS competition. Forza is not the right series for you if you enjoy grand police chases and story elements. This series is for you if you like strong car racing and more customization.
Solid entry into the seriesThis Electronic Arts title is generally very good. It lacks epic chase sequences for an NFS game and the crew system is poorly integrated. This title is a great addition for any NFS racing collection.
