Application for information management

Microsoft OneNote, a desktop program that allows multi-user collaboration and note taking, is available. It features a tiered organizational system that includes sections, notes, notebooks, and sections. Each page is a blank canvas that you can highlight, draw, or type contents. This makes it an ideal tool for quick note-taking and long-term research. You can also add audio commentary and screen clippings to your notes. OneNote documents can also be shared across multiple devices. It can be viewed on desktop or mobile by you, or by multiple users.

Features

OneNote pages look similar to Microsoft Word. They are blank, white pages. This allows you to create any way you want. You can highlight keywords, make markup notes, or type text. To mimic the experience of writing notes on paper, you can use the Pen tool. It can also be used on any item in your notepad to draw on it, making it useful for quick note taking and mind mapping, giving feedback, etc.

You can create multiple OneNote notebooks if you use it at school or work. To keep your ideas and discussions organized, you can assign a topic, date, or subject to each notebook. You can also break down a single notebook into sections if you need a digital note-taking application to remind you of important things. These tabs will allow you to organize your ideas onto several pages.

You will need to either scrap or put aside parts of your notetaking process. You can either delete pages or create a new notebook to store inactive notes. OneNote won't recognize this book as an archive. However, you can label it Archive to move the old pages.

Add-ins

OneNote can integrate data-driven, actionable insights in your notes. It can even solve equations and type handwritten texts. This will speed up your note-taking and allow you to spend more time refining the contents of your references. OneNote can also integrate the Microsoft Office suite.

This allows you to organize your note-taking experience so that it is the most efficient and helpful. You can open a.docx files to continue editing Word documents in OneNote. You can also apply a page design to the document, such as grids or line pages.

Microsoft Edge is also available for configuration. This allows you to send pages and clippings directly to OneNote. Another plug-in that is similar to OneNote Web Clipper is also available. It allows you to save web pages into your notes. This is a useful tool if you have a lot of references online.
