Multiple receivers are not necessary
If you commute frequently between work and home, the limitation of one receiver per keyboard or mouse can be frustrating. This means that you will need to take your home receivers out when you are done and then place your office receivers in when you get to work. Logitech Unifying Software aims to solve this problem and make life easier for users.
Unifying the basic capabilitiesLogitech Unifying Software, or simply "Logitech Unifying", allows you to connect six keyboards and mice into one USB receiver. If you use more than one device, pairing them is a great idea. You don't have to take the receiver with you if your Logitech keyboards or mice are in different places, such as at work and at home.
Resolving the limitationsLogitech products are the only ones that can use Unifying, so it is not available for Apple or Windows computers. Apart from this drawback, six pieces of hardware are required per Unifying receiver. Some Logitech hardware is not capable of running the program. Check the Unifying orange logo to verify that your device is compatible.
This software can connect up to ten metres. You can connect to another Unifying receiver if your receiver is lost. It is a good idea to have spare receivers.
Is Unifying right for you? This product is for a very particular Logitech user. It may or may not be you. It is similar to the Samsung USB Driver, but only for mobile devices. Logitech consumers would be eligible, but you must also be comfortable with using a lot of hardware in your daily life.
Logitech users who do not require multiple keyboards and mice may not like this program. It is possible to try it. It may prove more difficult for a single user of a mouse or keyboard than what you are used to. Logitech Unifying Software does not force customers who are comfortable using a laptop's keyboard and mouse to use an external mouse or keyboard.
