Listen N Write is a freeware program that allows you to listen to and then create notes directly to Windows in just a few steps. It uses Microsoft Speech Recognition (MSR), which allows you to convert your dictation into a text file, or a PDF document. You will need to create a new project within the Listen N Write Windows program in order to use this software. You will see a blank screen once you have opened the program. The top of the screen will have two buttons - save or load. To continue, click on the "load” button.

The beginning of the recording session is indicated by a white arrow icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Clicking on it will take you to a new tab, where you can begin creating the recording. You have two options when it comes to creating your document. You can either save it as a PDF or load it directly from your computer. After you have made your choice, you can either start recording or save it to an existing file.
