Launchy for Windows

Launchy is a Windows utility that can help you forget about your desktop icons, your start menu and your file manager.

Launchy indexes your programs and can launch your documents and project files, folders and bookmarks with just few keystrokes.

Launchy will hide in the background once it is started. You can bring it forward by holding down the ALT key and tapping on the SPACE key. After you have found the program, type in some keys and hit ENTER. Launchy can be made to disappear again by pressing ESCAPE and ALT+SPACE. Launchy can be customized by choosing which key combination you want.

Launchy was designed to run on XP. However, you can download the gdiplus.dll file and extract it into your Launchy directory. This will make Launchy work with Win2000.

Launchy can be customized with many themes or plugins created by its active user community.
