Kryptor, a premium open-source file encryption software similar in functionality to TeraCopy is available for multi-platform Windows, Linux and macOS use. It is free and offers a modern, simplified experience for its users.

Kryptor offers its users a multiplatformed, portable command-line tool. It also uses state-of-the-art cryptographic algorithms that are highly secure. Kryptor's stated goal is to provide a simple, easy-to-use and secure alternative to GPG.

Kryptor, as mentioned, is multi-platform compatible with Linux, Windows, and macOS. Its proven encryption capabilities are not enough. These encryption capabilities can be greatly assisted by premium algorithms such as XChaCha20 and XSalsa20.

Other aspects, such as the main key derivation, make use of the "Argon2" algorithm which won the 2015 coveted 'Password Hashing Competition Prize'. Kryptor also uses the Libsodium Sealed Boxes’ algorithm for password sharing.

It's easy to use Kryptors GUI. This is surprising considering the complexity of Kryptors functions. The three steps for encryption are: Drag and drop your file/folders onto the in-app GUI. Next, choose and enter your password and click on the encrypt' button at bottom of the page.

Kryptor's in-app password generator is a great tool to help you choose a secure password if you are having trouble coming up with a good one. Kryptor also offers a simplified, yet comprehensive,'settings menu' which makes it easy to access all the information you need for in-app browsing, and more.

It is amazing that Kryptor is free, given its user-friendly nature and the benefits it provides its users. Kryptor is a complex app with many modern complexities, but it's still very easy to use.
