Driver for host-based printer
The HP LaserJet Pro Pro P1102 driver uses a host-based driver to replace the HP Smart Installation and the printer's CD. This version of the LaserJet Pro P1102 drivers is compatible with Windows computers running WinXP and newer. However, it includes a fix for Windows 10 OS. This print processor is required if you own the HP LaserJet Pro P1102, as it is responsible for transmitting printing language from your computer to the printer.
Features and capabilitiesThe HP LaserJet Pro 1102 driver is essential for signaling Unidrv and XPSDrv to display text and images on your screen and on paper. The driver is required to enable the program to send the bitmap version to the printer. It is important to establish a connection between the GDI program (and the driver) in order to receive information from the printer, such as low ink and paper jams. Additional information includes a variety of printer modes that allow it adapt to a printer’s media environment.
Plain Media corresponds with the following modes: Bond and Rough, Color, Letterhead, Preprinted and Prepunched, Recycled, Vellum, and Recycled. Papers with a density of 74, 104 and 105 grams per square meters fall under the Light, Plain, and Heavy modes, respectively. Other modes can print standard envelopes, bond paper, and overhead transparencies. These modes can be found under the Driver's Printer Properties tab.
Other than the Properties tab you can also change default settings such as N-up printing, resolution and watermarks under the Printing Preferences Tab. Driver's Preferences can be used to control the paper/quality, effects and finishing of the printer. These allow you to specify the type, size, and source of the printed media, as well as create unique media effects and control the output of the media. These tabs can be found in your Window Printer folder, or in the driver.
Help SystemHP has integrated a fully-featured Help system to assist you with configuration options and printing. There are three Help options available: Context-sensitive Help and Constraint messages. Constraint messages are the most specific of all three options. It is responsible for addressing unsolicited communications that appear after a particular action has been taken.
These messages are meant to alert you to possible selections that are not possible due to other controls' settings. You can choose Transparency and click Print on both Sides (Manually). You will be prompted to resolve the conflict. Most likely, you will be asked to click Cancel or OK. Clicking OK will allow the driver to reset the conflicting control so that it is compatible with the preference. Cancel, however, rejects any changes made.
Important for HP LaserJet Pro Pro P1102 usersYou can customize your printout using the Preferences and Property tabs of this driver. The native Help System makes it easy for new users to learn about the printer's features and responds. The LaserJet P1102 driver, in the end, is a must-have component for LaserJet P1102 owners.
