HP Battery Check is an easy to use tool that can be used to verify the functionality and capacity of primary and secondary batteries in HP Notebooks.

The AC adapter must be connected and the battery must have at most a partial charge in order to run HP Battery Check. HP Battery Check will report that the battery being tested is invalid if it has a charge less than 3%. HP recommends that the AC adapter be plugged in and that the battery has been allowed charge for at least 30 minutes with the computer off. This will ensure that the test results are valid.

The HP Battery Check app displays battery status when the device is scanned. A message will display if additional actions are required. It will display either Ok, Calibrate or Replace, No Battery, Error, or both.

Battery Check Messages

OK means the battery is working correctly. Calibrate means the battery is working correctly but it needs to calibrated. Replace indicates that the battery has reached its end of useful life. Error indicates that accessing the battery was impossible.

HP Battery Check supports all HP Vista, Windows 7, consumer and commercial notebook computers.

You can quickly and easily check the status of your laptop's battery with HP Battery Check. It takes only a few seconds. This tool is very useful if your battery performance is poor. You can quickly check the battery and diagnose the problem.
