v 3.0|FreeByte
HJSplit allows you to split and recombine files up to 100+ gigabytes in size. The Freebyte program has four simple features: Split, Join and Compare. Splitting a file allows you to specify the size of each part. The file size can be set to kilobytes or gigabytes (kb) depending on how many parts you want to save. HJSplit Join merges files that have been split to create a file the same size as the original. Compare compares two files and checks for equality in length and whether bits are in the same place. Cecksum generates an MD5 checksum which can be shared with the recipient to confirm that the files have not changed. HJSplit can be run from a small file. Freebyte also offers Windows 3.x and MS-DOS versions. HJSplit can split files and recombine them across different operating systems. Windows XP or MS-DOS.
