v 0.0.9|Harvest VR
Free simulation game for farming
Harvest VR is a free virtual world game for Oculus Quest and other devices. This farming simulation game lets you grow your plants and then sell them in the countryside. There are many other tasks you can do aside from farming.
The countrysideHarvest VR takes place in bright and colourful countryside. You have a large plot of land to plant your seeds and a beautiful body water to fish in. A lovely cottage is your home. As the clock ticks on, you can fish at night or farm during daytime. You can play the game in real time, following your regular clock, or with a faster and less realistic time frame.
The life of a farmerThere are more than 15 different plants you can grow, including melons and pumpkins as well as carrots. You can spend hours watching your crops but it's important to go inside your home and save the game every now and again. You will need to spend money on tools that you don't get from harvesting your crops. You still have the chance to do other tasks by selling your vegetables.
Other mechanicsHarvest VR offers more than farming. You can also go fishing, mining and cook at any hour of the day. You can cook with the ingredients you have caught or harvested. You can also cook your fish over campfires that are set up near the waterside. Fishing can be done on the dock. This is either near a small shack that provides supplies or further away from another area of the beach with different utilities. It's a great way of passing the time.
Unlock itemsThere are many things to unlock as you farm, from the first few seeds to a huge harvest of carrots and pumpkins. You will need to upgrade your tools using some of your early earnings, and eventually unlock items that you can use in your house.
Work hard, play hardHarvest VR is a simple and fun game. It's not as realistic than other simulation games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator or Farming Simulator which are not VR compatible. It offers the same playtime as Ancient Dungeon VR but in a more peaceful environment. Although the game is not as realistic as it could be, it still has the same game-like mechanics that make it worth signing up for a subscription.
