Disk Serial Number Changer For Windows 7

When you format a hard drive with Windows, it is assigned a serial no. This serial number can also be used by different software programs to identify the hard disk and prevent multiple installation of the same program on different machines. Each hard disk is assigned a serial-number based on its size, serial numbers, and model. These software conflicts can be avoided by resetting or changing hard disk serial numbers. However, you will need to be familiar with the Windows system in order to change the serial numbers.

Windows-based software can be used to alter the serial numbers of hard drives for those not skilled in Windows. These programs can be downloaded from the Internet. A small one-time fee is required to modify the serial numbers on your hard drives. It has both a Windows interface and a user-friendly interface.

A disk-resetting procedure involves unplugging and inserting a device such as a USB drive or secondary drive. You will also need to enter the boot menu information and the drive to be activated. After Windows has been loaded, it will read the specified partitions from the disk-resetting device. After Windows has found all the required partitions, it creates a series of bootblocks for each drive on the target hard drive. The bootblocks store the boot configuration information so that Windows can load up automatically after installation.
