Double-click the file link appropriate for your Windows device. In your download manager click 'Open'. Follow the on-screen steps to open the gImageReader installation wizard

Drag boxes around the text you want to extract from your source file or select the entire image. There are two OCR modes: plain text and hOCR. Right-click on the area you wish to extract text. There are three options available:

Open the Control Panel on Windows and click 'Uninstall a program'. Click on gImageReader to be removed from the program list. You can also right-click on gImageReader and choose 'Uninstall' from a contextual menu

Our testing of the gImageReader was very accurate in extracting English from files in Portuguese.
