Interactive mathematics suite for free

GeoGebra was created by Markus Hohenwarter and is a powerful learning and education suite of science technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM). It can be used to teach at all levels of education, from primary school to university. It has won numerous awards since its inception in 2001 and is still a leader in STEM education.

GeoGebra, an open-source software program, is free and available for non-commercial purposes. It's also available in many languages, including Azerbaijani, Turkish and Ukrainian. Desmos and WordMat can be used to plot geometry lines. However, they offer fewer tools and have limited graphic capabilities. GeoGebra has no close competitors when it comes to free alternatives. WordMat is the closest competitor.

How do I install GeoGebra

It is easy to install GeoGebra on Windows. Click on the button to download the GeoGebra file. Once the download is complete click on the GeoGebra icon to open it. GeoGebra is now available.

GeoGebra's most important features

GeoGebra's main features are interactive geometry environments in 2D or 3D, a builtin spreadsheet, computer algebra (CAS), statistics and calculus tools. It also has scripting hooks, scripting hooks and a scientific calculator.

Interface is simple to use

GeoGebra's user interface lets you work with both algebra and geometry side-by-side. The default layout displays an algebra view on the left side. This view allows you to see equations, coordinates, input commands, and functions. The graphics view is located on the right-hand side. This is where you will find your geometric constructions.

The toolbar is located at the top of your screen. It contains various toolkits that can be used to interact with GeoGebra. You can drag objects, create lines, tangents and ellipses, as well as translate by vector. A simple tooltip will appear when you hover your mouse over a tool. It will explain what the tool does and how it is used.

You can access the menu button to adjust the language, rounding of decimal points, font size, and whether the labelling of elements is manual or automatic. You can also change the perspective of your graphics view. You can toggle the following views on or off, or display as many as you like simultaneously.

GeoGebra: How to Use It

Constructions can be made using a variety of tools and options, including segments, vectors and lines, points, segments and vectors, lines and conic sections, inequalities and implicit polynomials. All of these can be dynamically edited later.

GeoGebra allows you to modify any element by using the input bar, mouse or touch controls. It can also save and store variables for numbers, vectors, derivatives, integrals, and functions. It supports all commands, including root and extremum.

GeoGebra for teachers

GeoGebra can be used by teachers to visualise math and make it more engaging for students. GeoGebra can be used by teachers to create digital worksheets using pre-made simulations, which students can then manipulate with the built-in tools. This visual and hands-on approach helps students to better understand the material.

GeoGebra can be used by teachers for homework and tests. Teachers can ask students to download GeoGebra to their phones. Exam Mode blocks students' access to other apps and communications during tests. GeoGebra has been approved by some educational ministries.

There are over 2,000 resources that are already available for secondary and primary school math education. You can also access additional resources online through an online sharing program. GeoGebra Materials is an online cloud service that allows GeoGebra users to upload and share their applets. Nearly half a million public materials are available for students and teachers to use. GeoGebra allows you to create interactive worksheets, games and e-books as well as simulations.

Free tool for STEM education

GeoGebra offers many tools that allow students to explore and experiment in math. It can take time for students and teachers to learn how to use GeoGebra software, especially for younger students. It takes time to create your own resources, unless you rely on user generated content that is of varying quality.

GeoGebra is an open-source software that teachers can use to adapt and build learning experiences for their students. It allows them to learn remotely and makes the most of technology.
