Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend mode is a free skin modification created by NoLime to play the rhythm-based online game Friday Night Funkin'. This mod transforms the boyfriend into a woman character. The gameplay is the same, but you'll have to impress your dad with your quick-reaction skills. You'll face the same enemies as the original game.

Girlfriend Mode is a skin mod and doesn't have any new features. It retains all the original gameplay mechanics and characters. You're now the girlfriend of the boyfriend. You are still trying to kiss your girlfriend. She is there to cheer and support you as you try to impress him.

You need to beat your girlfriend's dad or his friends in head-tohead rap battles in order to get her smooch. It's similar to Dance Dance Revolution and Muse Dash.

As directional arrows appear on the screen at every round, a song begins to play. You must press the correct arrows at just the right time to keep the melody in tune.

The bottom-screen meter shows your progress. It has two icons. One represents your female character and the other your enemy. Do well and your meter will move left. To win the round, get it all the the way to the other side.

If you miss too many beats, the slider will move to one side and your girlfriend won't be pleased. Although FNF is simple, it requires a lot of skill and practice to master the timing of your moves.

Like many mods from Nexus Mods Girlfriend Mode is still in development. The game can crash or not load correctly during songs. As a game that is constantly evolving, you can expect improvements to both FNF and the skin mod.

Although the Friday Night Funkin' Girls Mode skin mod doesn't have any new features it is a unique take on the original game. Everything is the same except that the male protagonist becomes a female. To get the girl you'll need to be precise with your button-smashing, but this time as a heroine.
