FreeMind can be used to edit Mind maps, XML/HTML files, and directory trees. The Mind map displays the data to the user. This is possible thanks to modular design. It allows you to write modules and only design the problem model (the data structure), without the need for elaborate visual representations.

These are the key features:

You can follow HTML links stored in nodes. You can paste links from HTML or organize the pasted content based on the number of leading spaces.

FreeMind is a great tool to use if you don't have the time or skills to keep track of your projects. It allows you to view subtasks, the state of subtasks, and time recording. It offers many useful tools, including the ability to view small and medium-sized notes with or without expandable hyperlinks.

FreeMind's user interface is quite intuitive and well-organized. However, there are some weaknesses in the functionality such as the inability to add pictures to nodes. This is a preliminary stage and you will need to carry the image files with you if you want to create a portable Mindmap with full images.

FreeMind is a good tool for visualizing projects, but it's a complex application that needs a new interface and attention to the core functions.
