Nsauditor created Free Port Scanner, a utility that can be used on Windows networks. It allows network administrators connect to all connected PCs and view the status of each machine's ports. The IT professional can also check for vulnerabilities and find out which services are running on each PC.

The app sends a message through specified ports and monitors the replies. Any issues discovered by the scan can be addressed by an IT administrator who can then address them. Nmap and SoftPerfect Network Scanner are two other network management suites available.
