Classic 8-bit arcade game

This game was released in 2012. You can play it in your browser or download it to your Windows PC. This Fix-it Felix Jr. version was created by Ofihombre and is a tribute the Wreck-it-Ralph film that was also released in 2012. The game is in 8-bit classic style, which captures the nostalgia of 80s arcades.

A movie game brought to life

The game begins with Ralph getting angry, much like the movie. He declares that the building where his stump and home are supposed to be is going to be destroyed. As he climbs up the building, he immediately begins to smash it. He even throw one of the tenants off-screen. Fix-it Felix Jr. is the hero of this story.

Once you have inserted your coin, and gone through the intro, gameplay starts. It's your job as Felix to jump from window to window, fixing anything Ralph breaks. The controls are simple and easy to follow, just as you would expect from an arcade game. Sometimes, you can pick up a piece of pie left by a tenant. This will make you immune to Ralph's falling bricks.

You'll keep moving through the levels and earning medals, while Ralph is thrown off the roof. What happens when you win the game? Play and see!

A tribute to a classic

The Wreck-it-Ralph movie is the inspiration for this game. However, a Fix-it Felix arcade machine is also featured in the film. The film's game is actually a tribute of Donkey Kong, a classic favorite. It has similar gameplay mechanics, and a villain who violently slams his fists to destroy his surroundings.

Nostalgic arcade gameplay

Although there was never an arcade Fix-it Felix Jr. game, this simple 80s-style downloadable Windows version from Ofihombre captures the essence. There are many things to enjoy, including levels that get harder, warm immunity pies and multiplayer mode. While playing, some movements and controls can feel slow. It can sometimes feel almost seamless with the game's style.
