Far Manager for Windows

Far Manager is an application that allows you to manage files and archives on Windows operating systems. Far Manager is a text-based application that provides an intuitive interface for performing actions.

These are the key features

Viewing files and directories; editing, copying and renaming of files; and many other actions. Far Manager is greatly enhanced by DLL modules, or plugins. These plugins are made possible by a special set interfaces: the Plugins API. Plugins are included in Far's standard distribution. They include archive support, FTP client and temporary panel, as well as network browser.

Far Manager offers a multilingual, configurable interface. Far Manager's File system navigation is simplified by colour highlighting and sort groupings.
