ELLAROSE for Windows

ELLAROSE, a Windows-based tool, is designed to make Oracle users' lives easier. It allows them to optimize their database performance and maintain powerful features. (Not to take over the world or use Jedi force mind tricks powers, unfortunately, you can't have all.

One of the key advantages of ELLAROSE's graphical view capability is its ability to generate key performance metrics right after extracting and processing the baseline raw data.

ELLAROSE is a simple but effective GUI that displays all aspects of optimizing and managing databases. It displays the connection, data sources and environment at startup. Users can instantly see what's happening and determine possible next steps. This could be very useful for people who have limited time or are short on money.

ELLAROSE offers a few customizable options that can be customized to suit your needs. You have the option of an automatic workload repository or statspack for data sources. This is a good thing, according to a friend who works with Oracle.

You can also load baseline data from a specific file to generate historical performance (SQLStat). Statistic can also be run to determine total executions and average executions. This includes CPU time, CPU time, processed rows and disk reads.

There's more. As if all this wasn't enough, ELLAROSE supports (wait for It) object, security, and storage browsers. Datafile statistics and maps are also supported.

Overall, ELLAROSE doesn't appeal to the faint-hearted or those who believe that Oracle in this sense refers to something in ancient Greece. However, it comes with detailed and comprehensive user documentation which is a nice touch. ELLAROSE doesn't require installation. It can be unpacked and launched immediately.
