v 1.0|Arthur Vyater
Megaman Adventure Game
Arthur Vyater created Delta-Gal, a low-poly, third-person shooter. Although the demo is available for download, it was not released until Vyater had decided to quit working on the game. This Megaman Legends tribute will thrill fans of the cancelled series due to its overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Metroidvania 2D shoter, low-polyDelta-Gal, a 2D third-person shooter video game, is meant to be a tribute the Megaman Legends 3. Vyater created something unique, even though there are many similarities. This little gem is sure to please fans and those who just like retro-style Metroidvania games.
The gameplay is both challenging and enjoyable. While not all NPCs will have something to share, it is easy enough to get started exploring the world and the story. There will be some secrets and quirky characters along with a small shop where you can spend your hard-earned money. There is even a boss fight!
Story and unfinished gameThe game is incomplete, which is the only thing I have to complain about. It feels like there should have been more. The limited story elements make it difficult to stop playing. You can find some weapons only if you thoroughly investigate your surroundings. Others require special tools.
You'll be tempted by the temptation to explore every corner of the map. But, even though you'll find hidden areas and secrets, they'll have very little content or none at all. It's frustratingly tempting, but ultimately disappointing.
It's challenging and fun, but it's not enough.Delta-Gal is a single-man project and has already overwhelmed Arthur Vyater. Although the demo has great potential, it remains to be seen if it will be completed. It's still a great game. It's a thrilling and challenging experience thanks to its low-poly graphics, the static cell-shading, and Metroidvania gameplay mechanics. Megaman Legends fans should definitely check this out.
