This retro-themed platform game allows you to keep your end of the bargain. You can collect souls and engage boss battles with your hero who has a cup as his head.

Cuphead's story revolves around Mugman and him winning big at the local casino. They set out on a mission of reclaiming their souls after they lose one their bets against the casino's owner, the devil. They must collect the debts of all the devils if they want to regain their souls.

This plot sets the stage for the game. It's a side-scrolling platform that allows you to engage with enemies on various stages. These stages become more difficult as you progress. Cuphead is very similar to a 'Dark Souls" platform game due to its intense boss battles. The hardest battle is against Dr Kahl’s Robot. It takes place in different phases.

Cuphead's throwback to 1930's sounds, visuals is one of its most exciting features. Studio MDHR has brought back the cartoon retro themes from the 1930's, expertly crafted with great detail. The story's dark tone is able to be translated into horror themes in certain scenes.

As you play the game, you will be able to buy new weapons and buffs with the coins that you collect. Your arsenal includes a special attack and a bonus power. There are also two weapons. Cuphead's strategy is to decide which weapons you will use against difficult bosses.
