Race-against time retro-era taxi driving game
Crazy Taxi is a driving game against the clock from the Dreamcast era. It's an open-world driving game similar to Need for Speed: Most Wanted except that you race against the clock and not against other players.
This driving sim requires you to pick up and drop off people against the clock. In-game money is earned by doing things as fast as possible and not caring about the safety of others. It has a similar destructive vibe to Grand Theft Auto III but the destruction physics are more dynamic and powerful.
Is Crazy Taxi available for purchase? The full version of this open-world game can be purchased on your PC. You will need to subscribe to a streaming service if you want to play the game on a console. The arcade mode is a simple find-fares/deliver people game. You can also try the original version, which has 15 mini-games on the world map.
Is Crazy Taxi suitable for children?Children shouldn't be concerned by the overblown driving violence or destructive chaos. It is a piece of cathartic entertainment that doesn't use any gratuitously offensive language or include any sexual elements.
This is a game for kids, as there is no story or narrative. This game is all about having fun and being destructive.
Is Crazy Taxi still worth the effort?Although the graphics from the Dreamcast era look dated and the polygonal characters seem a little primitive it is still a great indie game and the driving mechanics have the polish of a full-release console title.
This game is great for nostalgic Sega fans who enjoy a nostalgic experience with old Sega games. It's also a casual game that can be enjoyed, but it won't make it to the top ten. Although it is a fun game for kids, it requires a lot of skill honing and learning to achieve higher grades.
