Company of Heroes, an award-winning real time strategy game, was developed by Relic Entertainment. It was released by THQ for Microsoft Windows and later for the PlayStation 2. Company of Heroes is the prequel to the Company of Heroes computer game series. The plot of the game centers around an alternate World War II Europe in which the allies triumph over the Nazi regime. The players will take control of Private First Class Joseph "JJ", LaRue, one of the most prominent members of the WWII US Army.

Company of Heroes takes place in the post-World War Two period, when the US has fallen under the Nazis' rule and allies must fight for control of Europe. For those who don't have internet access, the official website provides an alternative where they can play the game using a patched version, which is available in the September 2021 update.

Company of Heroes can be played using either the Steamworks or Microsoft Windows versions. These versions can be downloaded from the official website. Company of Heroes has four heroes: the Normandy Invasion Veteran (German Stuka Dive Specialist), the British Spitfire Advance (British Spitfire Advance), and the Italian Focke-Wulf FW 190 pilot. The player can also choose between the two campaigns according to his/her preference. Other multiplayer modes in Company of Heroes are Supply, Defense, Supply, and Escort. The most popular is the Combined Campaign.
