Simple shoot 'em up

Interaction Studios' Chicken Invaders is a simple fixed shooter game that lets you defend the Earth against an invasion by space chickens. It has goofy graphics that will make you feel like you are playing old arcade games on your computer.

An engaging premise

Chicken Invaders is a fun take on the Space Invaders game. This game puts you in the role of a spaceship pilot who must save the world.

During gameplay, you will encounter waves of chickens or asteroids that seek revenge on the previous wave you destroyed.

Gameplay

This game is simple in its gameplay and mimics vertical arcade shooters like Turbo Forge or Space Bomber but with less flexibility.

Your spaceship can only be moved right and left. Enemies take up the upper half your screen. You lose a life if they hit you with an eggs. You can collect power-ups or points by killing them.

You can only upgrade in this game by using power-ups. This allows you to change or upgrade your weapon before you lose your next life.

The entire sequence repeats ten times before you meet the boss: a single, huge chicken. You will have to remove it and start over with more difficult opponents.

Controls

The controls are easy to understand, just like the gameplay. Use the arrow keys to move, shift, fire, and control missiles. These settings can't be changed in the game.

Graphics

Although the visuals are not cutting-edge, they add a fun and lighthearted touch to the game. Although the soundtrack can be repetitive, it is essential to the gameplay.

Sometimes repetitive, sometimes addictive

This game's only problem is its repetitive nature. There are only three types of enemies. The ten waves become stronger, but they don't change much. Your skills won't change much over the course of the game. The gameplay is addictive and well worth the effort.
