Free Windows Chemistry Sketcher

ChemSketch is an app for Windows that allows you to draw representations of chemical and molecular molecules. You can create 2D and 3D molecular models that have a consistent appearance. This easy-to-use program allows you to visualize many chemical structures, including organics and organometallics as well as polymers and Markush structures.

ChemSketch allows you to create professional-looking diagrams for publications and reports. Your 3D creations can be zoomed in and out. ChemSketch can be downloaded as a 30-day free trial. Other chemical-modelling software programs are Chemistry Add-inChem4Word and Symyx Draw.

Interface

ChemSketch will open and present a 2D sketch page. You can click on any element to open it in the sidebar. By dragging and bonding chemicals, you can create structures, reactions, or schema.

Chemsketch can generate IUPAC numbers for molecules with up to 50 atoms or three-ring structures. You can use the program to predict the molecular properties of your individual structures. Additionally, you can search the dictionary for more structures with over 170,000 trade and trivial names.

You can hide the information that you need, but it displays detailed information about each element. This software allows you to work simultaneously with graphics, text, and structures in order to create professional diagrams for reports.

Features

Easy-to-use software allows users to click and drag atoms in order to form bonds with other atoms. There are many bond types to choose from: aromatic, delocalized and undefined single and dual stereo, quadruple, coordination, and quadruple.

Chemical structures can be created using InChI or SMILES codes. You can draw Markush structures, structures with delocalization, as well as polymers. To describe metabolic and mass-spectral changes, you can also add or subtract mass or fragments.

You can draw reactions and adjust the position for hydrogens near each atom. You can also add charges to the valence. You can move your compounds around with the 2D and 3-D rotation features. You can quickly build structures with the geometry optimization button

Instantly view the chemical formula, molecular weight and percentage composition, as well as all the suggested tautomeric options for your structure. ChemSketch allows you to convert your work to HTML and export it in PDF format. This will allow you to create professional chemistry reports and presentations.

Chemistry is a treasure trove

ChemSketch was created for students and professionals in chemistry. It allows you to quickly create complex molecular models and provides a wealth of technical information about the structures and molecules. You can easily create professional diagrams with the import and export functions.
